THE DRAMA OF HUMAN HISTORY
(the beginning and end - in a nutshell)
  • God creates the heavens and the earth
  • God creates man on the earth
  • Man brings sin into a sinless and pure world by disobeying God
  • Man brings the curse of death upon the world because of sin
  • God promises man the hope of salvation from the curse of death
  • Some humans believe God's word and thereby receive salvation; others do not believe and choose to reject God
  • Those who reject God by not believing His word stray from God and seek to go their own way ("Whoever finds his life will lose it" - MATTHEW 10:39)
  • Those who go their own way seek false God's and abound in unrestrained sin and reckless pleasure seeking
  • Those who rebel against the sovereign will and authority of God live worthless lives and destroy the world by their reckless behavior
  • Jesus Christ comes into the world the first time on a mission to accomplish the act of redemption to save mankind from the curse of sin and death, and eternal damnation, and thereby fulfil the promise of God
  • All who believe the word of God, that Jesus suffered and died for them, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God the Father, shall be saved from the second death; the righteous eternal consequences of their sin
  • After Jesus ascends into heaven, the good news of the gospel is preached throughout the earth but mankind continues in reckless unbelief and disobedience to God and to hate and persecute those that believe God and faithfully follow the teaching of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
  • Jesus Christ, the King of King's and Lord of Lord's, returns to the world a second time on a mission to bring judgment and punishment on disobedient unbelievers and after overthrowing earthly kingdoms by force, establishes His earthly kingdom and righteous rule over the nations for a 1000 years
  • At the end of the 1000 years, the Great White Throne judgment begins, and books are opened, and the dead are judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done
  • Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14-15)
  • Jesus destroys the present physical universe and creates a new heaven and a new earth (2 Peter 3:10-12 - The heavens being on fire and the elements shall melt with fervent heat)
  • The holy city, the new Jerusalem, descends from heaven to rest upon the new earth (Revelation 21:2 - And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God...)
  • Those who believe God's word and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and willingly submit to His righteous sovereign authority over their life, will enter eternal life and dwell with God, living in the purity of holiness and righteousness, and will experience everlasting joy and comfort, face to face in His Holy presence, on the new earth, forever set free from sin and pain and the curse of sin and death (Thanks and praise be to God forever, amen)
  • Those who reject God and the gospel of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal damnation (unceasing conscious torment) in the lake of fire.
